Alan Seabaugh has been a member of the Louisiana House of Representatives since 2010. His district includes most of South Shreveport. He currently serves on the House Civil Law, Insurance and Labor Committees. Alan served as Vice Chairman of the Louisiana House Republican Delegation from 2011 to 2016. Representative Seabaugh is a consistent champion for large and small businesses and has an A+ rating on business issues. He has received the Patrick Henry Award and was named Outstanding Family Advocate by the Louisiana Family Forum three times. In 2015, he was named “MVP” by Louisiana Association of Business and Industry for his opposition to proposed tax increases. He was also named Legislator of the Year by the Childcare Association of Louisiana for his work on early childhood education issues. He has an A+ rating from the National Rifle Association and Louisiana Sheriff’s Association and a 100% voting record with Louisiana Right to Life. Alan is a partner in the law firm of Seabaugh, Joffrion, Sepulvado & Victory. He is a member of the Louisiana Supreme Court Committee on Bar Admissions where he grades the Constitutional Law section of the Louisiana Bar Exam. A 1985 graduate of Captain Shreve High School, Alan attended Louisiana State University where he received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1990. He received his Law Degree from LSU in 1993. He is married to the former Miss Laura McClelland and has four daughters. Alan and Laura are members of Broadmoor Baptist Church in Shreveport and are involved many other community activities.
